Warp Sizing Solutions

Protecting warp yarn from the mechanical stress of weaving — reducing breakages and increasing loom efficiency on all yarn types and loom speeds.

Thin Boiling Starch (Fluidity 40-90)Deep Penetration

A chemically acid-thinned starch with controlled low viscosity at high solid concentrations. Penetrates into the yarn bundle to bond individual fibers — not just surface coating, creating maximum abrasion resistance.

Core Penetration: Low viscosity at 12-18% solids allows the starch solution to penetrate the yarn bundle — binding fibers together internally for superior abrasion resistance at the weaving heddles and reed.
Custom Fluidity: Available in Fluidity 40, 55, 70, and 90 to match your yarn count. Higher fluidity = lower viscosity = better penetration for finer counts.
30% Breakage Reduction: Customers report a consistent 25-35% reduction in warp breakages per 10,000 picks compared to native starch sizing — translating directly into higher loom efficiency and output.
Textile Grade Native Maize StarchCost-Effective

Unmodified maize starch for sizing coarser cotton yarn counts (above 20s Ne) and for mills with conventional rapier and projectile looms where penetration requirements are less demanding.

Coarse Count Suitability: Ideal for 10s-20s Ne cotton yarns used in denim, canvas, and industrial fabrics — provides adequate sizing film at lower cost.
Good Film Forming: Forms a robust, cohesive film on the yarn surface that provides acceptable protection at loom speeds up to 400 rpm.
Ease of Desizing: Easily removed by enzymatic (amylase) or oxidative desizing before dyeing — no residual sizing problems in the dye bath.
PVA Sizing AgentsSynthetic Blend

Polyvinyl Alcohol sizing agents, used alone or in blend with starch, for synthetic (polyester) and poly-cotton yarn sizes. PVA provides excellent adhesion to hydrophobic synthetic fibers.

Polyester Adhesion: PVA forms strong adhesion to polyester fiber surfaces where starch alone does not bind — essential for sizing polyester and poly-cotton warps.
Smooth, Stiff Film: Produces a very smooth, stiff film around the yarn bundle — ideal for high-speed air-jet weaving of fine poly-cotton fabrics.
Enzymatic Desizing: PVA-sized fabrics are typically desized with hot water (90°C) or special desizing agents. We provide a coordinated sizing + desizing solution.

Finishing & Stiffening Agents

Defining the hand-feel, drape, and appearance of finished fabrics — from crisp formal shirts to soft flowing sarees.

White Dextrin Fabric FinisherCrisp Finish

Highly soluble, clear-drying white dextrin provides a crisp, body-building finish to cotton, linen, and rayon fabrics. The classic starch finish for formal shirts, linen garments, and handkerchiefs.

High Solubility: Dissolves completely in warm water without cooking — simplifying the padding bath preparation and reducing energy in the finishing department.
Clear Finish: Dries to a clear, glossy film — preserving the natural color of white and dyed fabrics without yellowing.
Crisp Hand-Feel: Provides the characteristic crisp, papery stiffness required for formal dress shirts and uniform fabrics — durable through normal wear.
Fabric Stiffeners (Modified Starch)Long-Lasting

Crosslinked starch-based fabric stiffeners for heavy-duty stiffening of canvas, buckram, interlining, and shoe upper materials. Resistant to humidity and washing.

Heavy Fabric Stiffening: Provides rigid, permanent body to canvas, buckram, and shoe components — maintaining stiffness even in humid conditions.
Laundering Durability: Cross-linking agents improve wash-fastness of the stiffening finish — remains effective through multiple laundering cycles.
Industrial Laundry: Used in hotel linen and uniform laundry services to restore finish and crispness to cotton uniforms and bed sheets.
Laundry StarchEasy Application

Ready-to-use liquid starch formulation for institutional and industrial laundry operations. Spray or pad application restores the original body and appearance to cotton and linen garments.

Spray Application: Can be applied by spray, dip, or padding mangle — versatile for all institutional laundry methods.
Easy Ironing: Provides excellent glide during ironing — reducing pressing time and preventing scorch marks.
Fresh Appearance: Restores the new-garment appearance to worn cotton uniforms, hotel linens, and formal wear — improving brand presentation for hospitality and corporate clients.

Textile Printing Thickeners

Carriers that hold reactive dyes precisely on the fabric surface — ensuring vibrant colors and sharp definition.

White Dextrin Printing ThickenerSharp Definition

Highly soluble white dextrin provides a printing paste thickener with excellent rheology for screen and rotary printing with reactive and vat dyes on cotton.

Sharp Outline: High viscosity at rest with adequate thixotropy provides sharp, clean outline reproduction — no bleeding at the edge of prints even on fine mesh screens.
Good Dye Compatibility: Compatible with all common reactive, vat, and pigment dye systems — no incompatibility or shade shift.
Easy Washout: Rinses out completely during the after-print washing sequence — no residual starch gum causing stiffness in the printed areas.
Xanthan Gum Printing PasteReactive Dyes

Premium printing thickener for high-definition reactive dye printing on cotton, viscose, and modal fabrics. Provides superior color yield and outstanding sharpness compared to alginate alternatives at lower cost.

High Viscosity: At 1-2% concentration, provides high viscosity suitable for all screen and rotary printing methods — from simple flat screens to 150 mesh rotary heads.
Superior Color Yield: Unlike sodium alginate, Xanthan Gum does not form insoluble compounds with hard water calcium ions — giving consistent, brighter color yield in all water conditions.
Cost Advantage: 20-30% cost saving over imported sodium alginate with equivalent or superior performance — especially in hard water areas like Coimbatore and Tirupur.
Water-Based Textile InksLow VOC

Complete range of water-based pigment inks for screen printing on knitwear, T-shirts, and casual wear. Low VOC, soft-hand feel, and GOTS-compatible formulations.

Soft Hand-Feel: Water-based pigment inks dry to a soft, flexible film — no stiff, plastisol-type hand-feel that consumers dislike in premium garments.
GOTS Compatible: Formulated with GOTS and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 approved chemicals — suitable for organic cotton and premium ethical fashion brands.
Wash Fastness: Properly cured (160°C, 3 minutes) prints achieve ISO 4 wash fastness — suitable for commercial garment applications.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions our clients ask most.

Q

What is the advantage of Thin Boiling Starch over Native Starch for air-jet weaving?

A

Air-jet looms run at 500-700 rpm and subject warp yarns to extremely high abrasion at the heddles and reed. Thin Boiling Starch has much lower viscosity, allowing it to penetrate into the yarn bundle to bond individual fibers — not just surface coat. This internal bonding is what dramatically reduces breakage rates. Native starch mostly surface-coats and is not suitable for air-jet weaving above 20s Ne.

Q

Can you customize the fluidity of the Thin Boiling Starch?

A

Yes, this is our specialty. We manufacture Thin Boiling Starch in Fluidity 40, 55, 70, 80, and 90. The correct fluidity depends on your yarn count, machine speed, and size box conditions. Our technical team will visit your sizing department and recommend the optimal fluidity. We also do custom intermediate fluidity grades on minimum order quantities.

Q

Is your Xanthan Gum thickener compatible with my existing reactive dye system?

A

Yes. Xanthan Gum is compatible with all major reactive dye brands used in the Indian market including Bezaktiv (Bezema), Levafix/Remazol (DyStar), and Cibacron (Archroma). Unlike sodium alginate, it does not react with divalent cations, making it superior in hard water — which is a common challenge in Coimbatore and Tirupur mills.

Q

Do you offer enzymatic desizing agents to complement your sizing products?

A

Yes. We supply thermostable alpha-amylase desizing enzymes under our Industrial Chemicals range. Using our starch for sizing and our enzyme for desizing creates a coordinated system — we can guarantee complete starch removal with our enzyme at the correct dosage and temperature conditions.
